A brass quintet and faculty member of Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music. The group is posed in the courtyard of Sewall Hall, where the music practice rooms were located. One student is on one knee, with the other four standing, their instructor in the center. The instruments featured are saxophone, trumpet, trombone, tuba, and French horn. The photographer’s notes are in blue and green ink along the white margins. Original resource is a black and white 35 mm slide.
