Construction of Fondren Library, Rice University
The William M. Rice Institute’s Fondren Library upon completion of construction. Shown is the front (east) entrance, with the multi-levels and covered walkways visible. Stakes and scaffolding can be seen within the arches of the walkway. There is a piece of heavy machinery on the cleared ground in front of the building. Printed in the bottom right-hand corner: “Wm.
