Abstract
Rates of condensation of water vapor in the presence of air were determined in turbulent flow in a vertical tube. Wide ranges of vapor-gas composition and velocity were covered in the study. A satisfactory correlation of mass transfer coefficients in terms of the Schmidt and Reynolds groups was made in the form predicted by analogy to turbulent forced convection heat transfer.
