dc.description.abstract A Mach-Zehndcr interferometer using a helium-neon laser and a high speed closed-open-closed shutter was designed and constructed in the present plasma facility in the Department of. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and Materials Science for use in conjunction with the glow discharge shock tube and the D.C. arc jet tunnel already present in the laboratory.
