    Abstract
    Jim Bernhard won the 1st Marshall Scholar award in 1959. He went on to become a playwright, actor, and crossword puzzle constructor.
    Description
    Rice University alumnus and actor-playwright James (Jim) Bernhard. Bernhard taught drama classes in Rice University’s Fine Arts Department. He is shown sitting in a chair with one leg crossed and an open book in his lap, wearing a white long sleeved shirt with the sleeves rolled up and a tie. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
