Robert Patten, Diana Hobby, and Ed Doughtie, the three editors of Rice University’s Studies in English literature. Studies in English Literature 1500-1900 is a quarterly journal of historical and critical studies. It is published quarterly by Rice University in Houston, Texas by The Johns Hopkins University Press. The journal seeks to explore and understand British literature. Each of the four issues each year is devoted to one of four time periods.
