Most of the delegates are wearing academic caps and gowns, with a few men wearing or holding top hats. The façade of the building, with its covered walkway, is visible behind the assembled group. Written in the lower left-hand corner: “#114, copyright 1912, F.J. Schlueter, Houston, Tex.” ; written in the upper right-hand corner: "Note - this spot is only on this print.
