Mike Grubbs, Homecoming Queen, Rice University
Rice University student Mike Grubbs, wearing his Homecoming Queen crown. Grubbs is seated on a leather-backed chair, wearing a dark jacket and white shirt, as well as the cardboard crown. Grubbs relinquished his crown to the runner-up, fellow student Nancy Jones, in accordance with Cotton Bowl conference rules. Grubbs received his BA in Economics and Managerial Studies, as well as a Master of Accounting from the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Administration, Rice University. While Michael Grubbs was elected the Homecoming Queen, he relinquished his title to runner-up Nancy Jones. The Cotton Bowl Parade rules specified that men could not be Homecoming Queens. Michael Grubbs obtained a BA in Economics and Managerial Studies and a Master of Accounting from Rice University.
