dc.description Dr. Gallagher, about whom no more information is known, shown playing the harpsichord he assembled using the ‘Zuckermann kit’, designed by harpsichord maker Wolfgang Zuckermann. Gallagher is seated, his hands on the keyboard, with a pipe in his mouth. He is wearing a sweatshirt and stained work pants, with saw horses, a chair and table, and other pieces of wood visible beyond him. A container of Elmer’s glue can be seen on the table. ‘Dick Kenyon, Houston’ is printed on the bottom right-hand corner. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
dc.description.abstract Constructed in the garage workshop of a local doctor, Dr. Gallagher (no more information known), the Zuckerman kit harpsichord eventually found its home in the Rice Memorial Center Chapel.
