Jess Neely talking to reporters in the locker room, Rice Institute
Jess Neely coached the Rice Owls football team from 1940-1966.
Jess Neely, head coach of the William M. Rice Institute Rice Owls football team, speaking with two reporters in the locker room. The reporters are writing while Neely looks on, hands on his hips. Neely is wearing a white shirt and dark tie and a dark fedora, and a small notebook and pens are visible in his shirt pocket. Behind the three men a number of players can be partially seen sitting on the benches, with their street shoes on a shelf along the back wall, beneath a partially obscured poster, featuring the word ‘blue’. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
