Sid Richardson College Country & Western Dance Flier, Rice University
The Country & Western Dance featured bronco riding. Unlike other public parties at Sid Richardson College, this one only happened once.
A black and white flier for the Sid Richardson College Country & Western Dance, Rice University. The flier consists of a drawing of a group of seven males striking a variety of poses, including aiming a gun, holding a box, and lifting a glass aloft. A number of the characters are wearing Western hats and boots. The drawing appears to be a caricature, most likely of either Sid Richardson students or Rice University staff affiliated with the College. The artist’s initials ‘DS’ appear in the lower right-hand of the drawing. At the bottom of the page are two lines indicating the location, the event, date and time, and the separate cover prices, for advance tickets or at-the-door entry. Original resource is a black and white flier.
