Selecting the 1967 Homecoming Queen, Rice University
The selection of the 1967 Homecoming Queen during a break in the Rice University-University of Arkansas football game. From left to right, the selectors are M. V. McEnany, who served on the faculty in the Department of Electrical Engineering, as well as being the University’s registrar and the Dean of Undergraduate Affairs, President Kenneth Pitzer, F. Talbott Wilson, an architect and member of the board of trustees, and C. M. Hudspeth, who served on the faculty of the School of Social Sciences. The four men are poring over a document which President Pitzer is holding, with a large crowd of seated onlookers in the bleachers directly behind them. The Homecoming Queen was selected during the halftime of the Rice vs. Arkansas football game.
