Close of Play performed by the Rice Players, Rice University
Around 1951 the Rice Players formed with the help of Dr. Willard Thorpe after a reorganization of the Dramatic Club (1921-1951).
An actor, dressed as a turn of the century rugby player stands at the top of some stairs as an older woman, looks away as she holds up a soccer ball. The scene is from “Close of Play”, written by Simon Gray and presented by the Rice Players. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
