Construction of brick arches over lecture room, North Wing, Administration Building, Rice Institute
The construction of the arches for the cloisters of the William M. Rice Institute’s Administration building. Several workers can be seen atop the structure, with the brickwork for the arches already partially in place. Wooden scaffolding and supports are visible, along with additional construction materials and tools such as buckets and toolboxes. A steel cable runs diagonally in the foreground view, and in the background can be seen additional scaffolding for the Mechanical Laboratory building, several temporary buildings, and dirt roads. Original resource is a black and white photographic negative.
