Construction on Power House view from well tower, Rice Institute
A view of the work on the foundation area for William M. Rice Institute’s power plant. Scaffolding, building materials, equipment and machinery can be seen, along with construction workers throughout. Large concrete slabs with metal rods are visible. Immediately beyond the central construction site are two large, barnlike buildings, and a road can be seen behind the buildings, running through a field and into a large wooded area. The angle of the photograph indicates that it was taken from the power plant tower itself. Original resource is a black and white photographic negative.
