dc.identifier.citation "Footings of Power House view from well tower, Rice Institute." (1911) Rice University:
dc.description A view of the work on the foundation area for William M. Rice Institute’s power plant. The large excavation crater can be seen, with scaffolding, and equipment, and machinery, and construction workers scattered throughout. A deep trench can be seen on the middle right-hand side, with ladders leading down into it. Two large, barnlike buildings are just beyond the edge of the crater, and a road can be seen behind the buildings, running through a field and into a large wooded area. The angle of the photograph indicates that it was taken from the power plant tower itself. Original resource is a black and white photographic negative.
