Sid Richardson College was dedicated on October 16, 1971. It became the eight residential college on campus. Pres. Johnson was a close friend of Sid Richardson, the college's namesake, which explains why he gave the dedication speech.
Description
The set of five yellow cards used by former President Lyndon B. Johnson at the dedication of Rice University’s Sid Richardson College on October 16th, 1971. The 3rd card includes President Johnson’s own notations. The 6th card is blank. All of the cards have a crease down the middle, as though they had been folded at one time. Original resource is a set of color notecards.
