Freshmen girls in bookstore, Rice Institute
William M. Rice Institute students in the campus bookstore. The student nearest the camera is wearing a checked dress and holding a notebook, looking at her companion, wearing a striped dress, with a nametag which reads ‘Eleanor Powers’. Both of them are wearing the traditional freshman beanie. Other students can be partially seen beyond them, along with the cashier. Bookshelves are lined with books in the cramped space, and textbooks are piled in stacks on the floor. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
