Correspondence from James A. Baker, Jr. to William Marsh Rice, Jr. William Marsh Rice, Jr was nephew of the founder of Rice Institute, William Marsh Rice and member of the first Board of Trustees. Capt. Baker was also a member of the Rice Institute Board of Trustees and eventually became Chairman of the Board.
