A half dozen William M. Rice Institute students, including Warren Simpson and Laurence Prehn, gathered in Warren Simpson's dormitory room. Three are visible on the left-hand side, of the image, seated side by side, with a fourth student seated on a chair in the middle of the room, polishing a shoe. Two additional students are partially visible on the right-hand side of the image. One of the students is shirtless, and wearing a small Institute cap. A lamp, chest of drawers, table with reading lamp, and a window are visible in the background. Written on the back of the photograph: "From James W. Casten '42, Session in Warren Simpson's Room, Laurence Prehn 1937, wrc04410." Original resource is a black and white photograph.
