Before the Beer Bike parade became a tradition with floats, the colleges would ride in a car or on motorcycles to get to the track in the Rice Stadium parking lot.
Description
The entrance of Jones College students to the Beer Bike cycling event. Participants are riding in cars or on bicycles or walking. At the front of the group students riding on bicycles are holding a banner displaying the Lowenbrau beer logo and the name of their college. Parked cars are lined on either side of the procession. Original resource is a black and white photograph.
