March in of flags, Firefighter Memorial Service, Rice Stadium
A memorial service for two Houston Fire Department officers who lost their lives in the line of duty was held at Rice Stadium on February 11, 2000. The memorial service was in honor of firefighters Lewis Evans Mayo, III, 44, and Kimberly Ann Smith, 30, who died fighting a three-alarm fire in far southwest Houston.
A five-member color guard from the Houston Fire Department, in ceremonial uniform, during a memorial service in Rice Stadium. The officers are carrying the flags of the United States, Texas, and the City of Houston.
