In the spring of 1970, with the help of College Master Charles W. Philpott, Charles Becker and Ed Dickinson began Baker College’s yearly tradition, Baker Shakespeare.
Description
A predominantly black and white poster for the Baker Shakespeare ensemble’s production of William Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The poster depicts a man standing and pointing a handgun at the back of a man’s head, who is kneeling, with his hands held before him as if praying. “William Shakespeare’s Hamlet” appears at the top of the poster, with the author’s name in red and the title of the play in white. At the bottom of the poster is the url for the ensemble, a logo of a human skull wearing a crown, and the performance schedule, “Baker Shakespeare 2011 / March 10-12, 17-19 @ 8:00 / Baker College, Rice University / Tickets $5 Students $10 General Admission”.
