1972Abstract
Starting in the spring of 1970, with the help of College Master Charles W. Philpott, Charles Becker and Ed Dickinson began Baker College's yearly Baker Shakespeare. Baker College also hosted a Shakespeare Fair (until sometime between 1994-2002) and continues to hold a Feast for Baker and Jones College seniors in conjunction with their yearly play.
Description
Albert Van Helden, Rice University’s Dept. of History, at Baker Fair, an event affiliated with Baker College. Professor Van Helden is standing on a stage, dressed in Elizabethan garb, and wearing sunglasses, gesturing dramatically towards the camera. An audience member can be seen in the foreground, with others seated and standing on the lawn beyond him. Pennants strung from a line are visible above the surrounding trees.
