Many people enjoying themselves outside during the Garden Party which followed the 11th Rice Institute commencement ceremony. Some attendees are sitting on lawn chairs listening to the band play, while others are on the balcony. Original resource is a black and white photograph. Bottom right corner of the photograph says "Rice Inst. Houston, Tex, 6-3-35, Schlueter, Fall."
