There is currently a generation of Latin American writers in the making inside the United States who possess a distinctive poetic voice that is anchored in the experience of displacement. “Archiving the Future” will enable scholars of American and Latin American literature to plumb this new wave of writers, assessing their wider significance and relevance. Because this type of project has not been done, it will contribute to new understanding of a global phenomenon that is reshaping local communities as well as the notion of a national literary tradition.
