Rice Institute's Departments of Architecture and Fine Arts, wearing a white suit, holding a black-banded white hat in his hand. Behind him, on the left side of the photograph, is a column of the Administration Building, with portions of the intricate decoration visible at the top, including foliage and a human face. In the background bushes and trees can be seen at the edge of a large sunlit lawn. Written midway on the right hand margin are the numbers ".18 - .82 - .64"
