Dr. Tom W. Bonner, Rice University
Dr. Tom Bonner joined the Rice faculty in 1936 in the department of physics and was a nuclear physicist of international renown. He was the second chair of the Rice physics department, serving from 1947 until his sudden death in 1961. The Bonner Nuclear Laboratories are named after him.
