    Clipping from the New York City Evening Journal, pasted into 1906-1907 scrapbook regarding the William Marsh Rice murder trial and sentencing of A.T. Patrick. Photo engraving features A.T. Patrick and his wife with a noose around them both which has been cut by a knife, which reads "Commutation of Sentence". Caption reads "Patrick and his faithful wife, who helped to cut the cord that bound him to the death chair."
