Emery, News Bureau Manager, California Shipbuilding Corporation, Wilmington, California. On the paper the following is written: "Shown waving Godspeed to the S.S. Rice Victory as the 10,500-ton Victory Ship speeds down the ways of the California Shipbuilding Corporation are (left to right) Diane Disney, the Reverend Oscar F. Green and John A. McCone. Mrs. Disney christened the vessel. Mrs. Tracy was matron of honor and Sharon Disney, flower girl. The Reverend Green, rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, Palo Alto, represented Rice Institute for which the vessel was named. McCone is president of the California Shipbuilding Corporation." Faint handwriting is on the second and third page.
