dc.description.abstract Letter from Emil Neumann, a Confederate soldier, to his sister Louisa Neumann, from Fort Eagler Grove (Fort Moore) on Galveston Island. The letter describes a gun boat firing into camp and the deaths of two men in camp (from an accidental gunshot wound and from pneumonia).
