There wasn't a cloud in the sky but the sun didn't shine downtown early Wednesday. It was smoggy again. This picture of the downtown Houston skyline was taken at 10 AM. Dr. Walter A. Quebedeaux, county pollution control director, said when he went to work at 8:30 AM it 'was like driving after sundown.' He said the pollution was a conglomeration which could not be traced to any one thing or one source. The only solution he said, was a wind to clear the air. There were also complaints from the Pasadena and Hobby Airport areas. (From the caption in the Houston Post.)
