dc.description.abstract A new definition for slant stack and inversion has been formulated. The different p ranges with different frequencies in the forward slant stack provide accurate reconstruction of the original data. The computing time is faster than the conventional method for the same p traces made in the forward transform. Its applications presenting in this thesis have been satisfactory in seismic data processing.
