Houston Hillel Scrapbook, 1980
From its founding in 1923 at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, Hillel has grown into the largest Jewish campus organization in the world. Hillel’s mission is to celebrate Jewish life and learning and to pursue social justice around the world. Young adults are encouraged to connect to their peers and other Jewish people around the globe by participating in campus activities and trips that can have an impact on people’s lives and allow the students to grow intellectually, socially, and spiritually. Houston Hillel is a multi-campus foundation that serves Jewish students and young professionals in southeast Texas.
The scrapbook contains news clippings, newsletters, correspondence, and event materials created by the Houston chapter of Hillel.
