Experimental analysis of thin concrete shells using a photo reflective technique

An experimental analysis using a photo reflective technique is applied to the determination of the bending moments in a cylindrical shell of assimilated concrete. The measured slope is used in finite difference equations to determine the magnitude of the bending moments. Two conditions which were investigated ares A semicircular shell with fixed supports at the ends and with unsupported edges, for which the tests were completed, and qualitative information was acquired: (2) The same shell with free edges, but with simply supported ends, for which the experimental analysis was carried to completion and compared to analytical results.
