Description:	Hand drawn map and survey of City of Houston and its Vicinity drawn and partly surveyed by A. Girard, Late Chief Engineer of the Texas Army, January 1839. Scale 400 feet to one inch. On the left side of the map there is a hand written note: "Notice. In the map delivered to Allen & Richardson the blocks were marked as they are here in black ink."
