Title: The Dixie Theatre
Author: Unknown
Abstract: Dante's Inferno (1935) is a drama starring Spencer Tracy as a ruthless promoter who's determined to succeed, no matter who gets in his way. "Dante's Inferno" is one of Rita Haywood's very earliest film roles. (She was still performing as Margarita Cansino, her original name.) Hayworth/Cansino appears very briefly as a ballroom dancer aboard Tracy's gambling ship. (From the IMBD website.)
Description: The exterior of the Dixie Theatre. When the photograph was taken the theatre was showing "Dante's Inferno." Note the sign above the ticket window advertising "Today Last Opportunity to see this $100,000 production."
